So here it is. My first blog post. Some of my friends out there have been telling me that this has been long overdue, but I'm not a fan of technology for technology's sake. What's the occasion, then, making this blog necessary? This coming summer, I'll be at home for a very, very short time. Starting on May 19th, I'm heading to Israel for Birthright, and just a few days after I return home, I'll be going to Colorado for the rest of the summer. Without access to cell service, and with limited access to the internet, and some of my closest friends asking to keep in touch, I felt this was the best way to keep everyone appraised of the trials and tribulations of one Eli Horowitz. So, read on, and enjoy.
Now that we've gotten over the awkward handshake, and are on to the friendly hug, perhaps we can just speak. Why am I writing my first blog post? Well, it's pretty simple. I hate moving. Cannot stand it. My train leaves in 5 hours and 40 minutes. So I cannot sleep.
But I'd like to clarify one thing, before the adventure that is my summer starts. I hate moving, not travelling. There is a significant difference between the two, and it unfortunately hinges on a cliche. The best trips are not focused on the destination, but the journey. And I happen to be much happier enjoying an adventure, a process, travelling, more than I enjoy substantial life changes, cliche or not. On that note, then, I'll turn over and try to get some energy for that next adventure.
